There are many restaurants just outside the hotel and within the city of Hilo, providing visitors everything from Italian, Pacific Rim, Japanese, Chinese, and some great "local food" eateries. For those that wish to enjoy a leisurely walk, Uncle Billy's Steak and Seafood restaurant is located right next door. Within a 10 minute walk, you can find the Nihon Restaurant, serving authentic Japanese food (including a wide variety of sushi); Coconut Grill serving island favorites including Prime Rib on select nights; the Ice Pond Diner which overlooks the water that is affectionately know as "Ice Pond" for its very cold waters.
