Located next toOnekahakaha Beach Park is the local people’s favorite Carlsmith Beach Park. The local people call this beach “4 miles” as the beach is about 4 miles away from the downtown Hilo Post Office.  It is a nice, safe and comfortable swimming beach surrounded by picturesque scenery.  This park usually gets crowded on weekends as it is a favorite gathering place for local people. A large pavilion, picnic benches, restrooms and showers are available and lifeguards are stationed on weekends.

Best for swimming and sunbathing.
