| Hawaiian - Aloha Festival |
This festival began as “Aloha week” and has now become
an event encompassing 6 different islands with over 300 events. It
is truly a festival of the people by the people. On the Big
Island there are music events, food presentations, arts and crafts,
and dance productions. The festivities kick off on the 27th
of August with Royal Court Investiture in Hawaii Volcanoes National
Park. One of the most fun and energetic celebrations, Hilo
Ho’olaule’a is the featuring all of the best Hawaiian
musicians. Bayfront closes down and becomes the perfect place
for dancing. Events continue until the end of September
and many have no admission charge.
