Housed in three Titanium-clad domes that represent Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai, the Big Islands three volcanoes, the new lmiloa Astronomy center blends the cultural traditions of Hawaiians with the science of astronomy. The center’s over 100 exhibits, which include games, videos and an immersion theater, benefit from the world class astronomical research that is occurring at the summit of Mauna Kea. Open 10:00 am-4:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday.
