Located in Waikoloa, “A Bay” as locals call it, was
reserved for Hawaiian Royalty for centuries. A Bay consists of a
protected cove, golden sand, and natural fresh water ponds. This
tranquil bay lies on the King’s trail, which is an ancient
footpath that wraps around the entire island and was used by the
King’s messenger as the main transportation path. You can still
see petroglyphs on the path which recorded spiritual and historical
events. The bay is a great place to swim, sun bathe, and participate
in the many activities on the beach.
