Isaac Hale Beach Park's boat ramp provides the only access for fishing vessels along the Puna coast and local fishermen can be viewed launching their boats and returning with their catches of fresh Ahi, Mahi Mahi and other local seafood delicacies. They area is also popular surfing, swimming and hang out spot for locals who often rinse off after surfing or swimming in the geothermal heated pool that is tucked in the jungle to the right of the boat ramp. Issac Hale Beach Park is located off Hwy 137 just past Ahalanui Beach Park-just look for the fishing boats!
